Beyonce and Spiritual Warfare

Posted on

Believe it or not, many women who consider themselves ‘Christians’ also would describe themselves as fans of Beyoncé’. (I know because I have spoken to many) Hard to believe right? Well even more difficult to believe is the fact that many churches do not teach about the Holy Spirit or Spiritual Warfare. Why would I mention Beyoncé and Spiritual Warfare in the same comment?? Because the existence of the former continues to remind me of the NEED and existence of the latter. If you are listening to, watching, or are permitting your sons and daughters to listen to and watch this self-professed demon possessed woman, wake up and remove this and any other satanically influenced idols (as if there were any other kind of idol) from your homes and your circle of influence!!!!

What Has Happened to the Heart of a Mother?

What has taken place in the heart of a woman that we not only fail to protect our children in the womb, but we are failing or refusing to protect them after they are born???  Oh, we don’t want them to fall and scrape their knee, but a scraped knee very rarely if ever led a child into occultic activities or depression and suicide!! We no longer guard them from the music. We no longer guard them from the images or from the language. Witches and sorcery have become harmless entertainment!!! Our babies are murdered by us daily to the tune of over 3,000 every day!! What has happened in our hearts that we no longer fight for our children lives…for their souls?? What has happened that we no longer fight for our own!!!!!! How has it become the norm for a mother or a father to watch their children become statistics…empty vessels sitting in pews (or chairs) while chasing the idols of this world in their hearts? We dress our daughters in the likeness of the immodest, ungodly women of the secular culture, and our sons don’t appear much better, following the example of those wearing sagging pants and sloppy shirts with tattoos and body piercings all over their bodies.  We have become OK with coed church youth group swimming parties with our daughters in bikinis wrestling in water, and on land, with boys in underwear!!!!! We allow them to ‘lead their own lives’!! They have ipods full of ungodly music, and Facebook pages that we know nothing about the content of because we want them to know that we trust them!! ARE WE SERIOUS????? I trust my kids, but it is this EVIL, SATANICALLY INFLUENCED CULTURE THAT I DO NOT TRUST!!! And I am their MOTHER!!! And it is the responsibility of my husband and I to protect them, even if it’s against themselves.

My, How The Church Has Changed!

There was a time when the ‘town sinner’ would come to church and understand and demonstrate respect for the House of the Lord. If the men had a hat on, they took it off. If the skirts of the ladies were too short, they would feel shame, and the older women would gracefully put a hankee or a sheet over their laps. Any profane communication was on hold until they exited the doors. It was understood that God was gracious, merciful, jealous and just! But today, the level of disrespect displayed by those who wear the Lord’s name while in His House has caused those who would have once been convicted of sin, and repented with broken spirits, to now believe that they are ‘fine’ just the way they are. No change is needed. My miniskirt, low-cut blouse, tight leggings while leading praise and worship, marijuana smell, profane language, lustful thoughts and actions are all OK with God. My blatant disrespect of my husband and refusal to discipline (provide boundaries for) my children no longer disqualifies me from serving tirelessly in the church. The miniscule detail that I am on marriage number three no longer disqualifies me from the pulpit. After all, I liked it so I put a ring on that one…and that one…oh, and that one too! God accepts me just the way I am, and there is nothing I need to do or that I can do to earn salvation, and there is nothing I need to do or can do to keep it.  Bottom line; Our faulty theology and misrepresentation of grace has bred a generation that occupies God’s house but does not know God at all…and that’s just the adults, while the children take notes…

And a great road will go through that once deserted land.

It will be named the Highway of Holiness.
Evil-minded people will never travel on it.
It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways;
fools will never walk there.

Isaiah 35:8

Beyoncé and her large Christian fan base represents a trend in the modern church to be in the world and of it! This trend has amassed an egregiously ungodly influence not just in the world, BUT IN THE LIVES OF THOSE SITTING IN OUR CHURCHES AND SERVING IN OUR MINISTRIES…. As a wife, it grieves me mightily that so many husbands are engaged in lustful thinking whenever her name comes up, and the images of her videos or her Superbowl performance flash across their mind…but not just her. It grieves me that so many are engaged in lust AT ALL!!!

As a mother, one of my responsiblities is to protect my children from things that would turn their hearts from the Lord and from following his ways!! Beyoncé is not alone in this example of evil influence, but she is one of the most recognized and widely worshipped singers of today. And one of the most dangerous! You see, Beyonce goes to church on Sunday!!! The lie that she walks in fellowship with God is told by her actions, while the truth of her demonic possession is told from her own mouth. As such, she influences countless young girls that her lifestyle is acceptable to the Lord…and they will influence their daughters and granddaughters with this Beyoncé’ (pagan) worship.

And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:

“I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:16-18

Our children need to understand that idolatry has consequences. But now that I say that I am remembering that it is not the kids alone who need to realize this fact! Its moms and dads too.  I remember a few years ago when I was teaching a group of a few hundred girls monthly. The lessons were original ones that the Lord blessed me to write called “Purity Points’, and as you can guess by the title, the topic was PURITY…separation from the love of the world.  The young girls would come back each month and tell me that they tried to implement the boundary setting exercises we talked about in the previous months lessons, only to have their mom tell them they didn’t need to follow that! These girls tried hard to honor the Lord in their daily living, but were discouraged from doing so, many of them, by their Christian parents.  They were crushed at the advice of their mothers, and while many attempted to stay the course, most of them sadly did not! Did you notice that I said mothers, and not moms and dads? You see, most fathers want their daughters to remain pure and undefiled sexually.  It’s usually the moms that don’t see a problem with a little ‘sex appeal’! It’s usually the moms that intervene when dad is concerned that daughters pants are too tight, or clothes are too revealing, and tells him that she’s young, and that there is nothing wrong with showing a little skin!!

“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you. John 15:18

A Hospital For Sinners

When the church became a ‘hospital for sinners’ it ceased to be a place of refuge, discipleship (meaning training in righteous living and in how to defend THE faith) and fellowship for the Saints. There was a time when sinners would not, could not sit in the church and be comfortable in their sin, but now we cater to the unrepentant sinner and provide false security in return for a prayer uttered from an unrepentant heart, while labeling those who genuinely love God, have repented (meaning TURNED FROM A LIFESTYLE OF SIN) and are pursuing righteous living with all of their heart, with the Holy Spirit empowering them, as legalists… But that is not what God’s Word says about us!!!

“How much more do I need to say? … They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection. Some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prisons. Some died by stoning, some were sawed in half, and others were killed with the sword. Some went about wearing skins of sheep and goats, destitute and oppressed and mistreated. They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground. All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.” Hebrews 11:32-40

But we don’t fight to hang on to this identity anymore!!! We quietly slip away into silence while the enemy rages against the Kingdom of the Living God!!! But we are more than this…and so are our children!! And if we do not fight for them who will!!!???  Ladies, we are at war, and the future of our children is what’s on the line. Will we fight for them? In prayer, will we fight? On our knees, will we fight? With tears streaming down our faces, will we withstand the pull to give in and let them be in the world and of the world.  How much do they really mean to us? Are we willing to suffer through their  anger and sullen faces if need be? ARE WE WILLING TO FIGHT FOR THE SOULS OF OUR CHILDREN???? Or does the spirit of Beyoncé win?

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” Hebrews 12:1

Not only is Beyoncé evil, but all sin is evil. She is a representation of the sin that Christ came and died to free us from. If we love Him, and we love our children, we need to guard them from the influence of this woman and any other influence that denies the light of Christ!

1 Peter 5:8 issues this very appropriate warning; “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil.

He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

Since you have heard about Jesus…Live no longer as the Gentiles do!

Posted on

Quite often the last thing we do as Christian bloggers is the thing we should do the most…let God’s word speak for itself.  We are told to add images to hold the reader’s attention and not to write lengthy posts. We expound and explain and add in our stories and experiences, but none of these are known to change or soften the heart of a rebellious man or woman.  In most cases, though not all, they work to mimic the soft shoe approach of the church today towards evangelism via entertainment.

In an age where it is very easy to be discouraged at the state of those who lay claim to the Body of Christ but who do not live for Christ in any area that is visible, we have seen the uprising of a new era that promotes a lack of accountability and biblical accuracy. ‘The ‘Don’t judge me’ era has birthed unbelieving lifestyles that, in ages past, have brought the wrath of God upon humanity, but today only delivers more inaccurate sermons on grace! If you were to join us for our family study time in the mornings, right now you would find us in Isaiah 15-16, and chapter 6 of Eric Ludy’s Bravehearted Gospel. During our morning discussion today on morality and the lost commitment to church discipline, my oldest son, Isaiah, asked the question, “How do you get your name back from that?”, referring to a church leader or ‘Christian’ living in sin and refusing to repent. Our response was not in regards to re-building your name, but how to maintain a good name from beginning to end…below is what we shared with our kids…PLEASE meditate on this…write it down..commit it to memory…As believers, the Spirit of the Living God now lives in us!!!! If the instructions being issued to the Ephesian church, and every other body of believers, were not possible, they would not have been given!! We can live lives that honor him!!! Do we genuinely want to, is the question…

“With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity. But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don’t participate in the things these people do. For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible.” Ephesians 4:17-31-5:5-10

I believe nothing else needs to be added…

Milestones and Motives!

Posted on

I have been away for a little longer than my original 3 week plan, but I am not upset about it one little bit. My kids were able to fill in for me a little bit, and I was able to step away and accomplish a few of the things I set out to do…just a few.  I shared with my friend, April, over at Peaceful Wife, that I unbalance easily. What I meant by that was that I have to guard my heart really closely…my motives…my plans…my activity…my focus to ensure that idols are not being set up in my life that draw my heart away from the only ONE worthy of my devotion.  I know me! I know what Christ delivered me from! I know what I have been saved and set free from!!! ME MYSELF AND I!!! And if I am not very careful, I will find myself a slave again to MYself, as well as an enemy of Gods. So this was my motivation for taking a break. To search my own heart.  You see, there are so many milestones in my life this year and so many things I am trying to accomplish….and I simply didn’t want to get lost in pursuit of me!!!! I ALWAYS want to be in pursuit of the presence of God!!! I ALWAYS want to be chasing after the life he has for me!!! Do you know what I mean???

In a couple of months time, I will be turning 40, my oldest will be turning 18, going to prom two days later, and graduating!! The UNBELIEVABLY rapid passage of time has definitely caused me to re-evaluate how I spend my time!!! Where 20 years ago my focus and motives were completely different (largely focused on me), today they are completely focused on how I can best serve God by serving my family, and how I can help reconcile a generation of women back to the heart of their Creator.  The impending arrival of these overwhelming milestones has truly caused a lot of introspection. I am more aware than ever that I must redeem the time!! So much of it has been wasted!!! And I DO NOT want to waste anymore. If you think that you hear a little desperation in my words, you are wrong!!! Not a little desperation…a LOT of desperation!!! And desperation causes action!! It obliterates all excuses…and has opened my eyes to unacceptable mediocrity, as well as areas in my life where I have settled for producing so much less than what God has called me and created me to produce.  But I joyfully proclaim, “NO MORE”. So, a lot of changes have already taken place, and many more are to come.  One change is that I am resisting the carnal urging to broaden the reach of the blog by spending more time writing posts. There will be time for that, but the time is not now. So I am doing the opposite of what my flesh wants me to do, and I will be writing less :D. I was never an everyday blogger anyway, but I have felt the claws of envy and covetousness scratching at the walls of my heart trying to gain entry, and pushing me to “DO MORE! DO MORE!”. I am smiling as I resist! I will update periodically. If you are like me, you have tons of blogs that you follow and may not even miss this one :D. While Joyfully Submitted is a part of what God has for me to do, it is not all that He has for me to do. I can no longer excuse my attention to one and neglect of all others. So in my attempt to ‘balance’, I am saying a gentle “SEE YOU SOON!”. While I am not going away forever, I am taking an extended break to get some things in order…mainly my motives…and to face some things head on…mainly my milestones…and to finish some writing projects that I claim to have no time to complete.  My life is turning into quite an adventure! And I do not want to miss one moment! And I know that you don’t want me to miss one moment either! ❤ So with that said…

“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time,

because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

Ephesians 5:15-17 NASV

I will see you soon!

A Blogging Vacation (Getting Away to Spend Some Time With the Lord)

Posted on Updated on

For all of you faithful followers of Joyfully Submitted, I want to take a few minutes to thank you for your support and kind words of encouragement. I LOVE logging in and seeing the start and/or the comment box in the upper right hand corner lit up throughout the day.  If you are like, you probably subscribe to way too many blogs to ever actually read or have the time to even remember them all, so one less for a couple of weeks would actually be a wonderful blessing.  So, with that said, I am taking a 3 week vacation from blogging! Yep, you heard correctly…3 whole weeks..on purpose! “Why 3 weeks?” Well, I am glad you asked!

Have you ever gone on vacation only to return EXHAUSTED and run down because you were unable to enjoy the place you were vacationing because of rushing each day to the planned activities? Well I have, and my ideal vacation incorporates time to relax and do things I am not normally able to do.  Not hard to understand, but why 3 weeks??? The vacation needs to be long enough where I am firmly convinced that I have actually done something differently,  and long enough away from home to become homesick…although I tend to get homesick with a weekend getaway, especially if the kids are not with us :D! Well, there will not be a lot of running around and an overabundance of activity on this vacation!! Exactly the opposite.  So, what will I be doing for these 3 weeks? Another great question!

“You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest,                                                                                  a holy day dedicated to the Lord. Anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.” EXODUS 31:15

My family seems to be busy ALL OF THE TIME. And having one car, most of our weekends are spent running errands. The world is so busy and schedules get so full!!! Weekends, even Sundays, find invitations to baby showers, or bridal showers, or kids birthday parties, and community groups, or family dinners….what’s missing? REST! And we need plenty of it!! We are just run down.  While VEMMA is GREAT for providing energy, clarity of thought and overall health, we have discovered that it is no substitute for good old-fashioned REST!! And the business of our lives is crying out for SLEEP. Now, while I do not believe that the Lord will strike us dead for working on the Sabbath (we are no longer under the law), I do believe there are terrible physical repercussions to a lack of adequate rest.  So…I will be resting!

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;                                                   but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.” Psalms 1:1-2

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do                              according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8

“In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches. I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.” Psalm 119:14-16

So often, when we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, we forget what’s really important. While my family spends time each day in God’s Word together, I very rarely get back to it to meditate and spend time with Him all by myself! I am famished for some alone time with my Lord!!! And I am going to go get it!!! My prayer is that I will be able to put some new healthy habits that are both physical and spiritual, in place during this time, primarily rest and time alone with the Lord 😀

“How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your precepts I get understanding;                                                               therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:103-105

In the light of a king’s face there is life, and his favor is like the clouds that bring the spring rain. How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.  The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life.” Proverbs 16:15-17

Remember ALL of those blogs I mentioned earlier that I subscribe to??? Well, they are phenomenal blogs worthy of a lot more than being categorized in my email in individual folders!!! Everyday I am more and more aware that I do not know everything…closer to not knowing much at all in the bigger scheme of things. I plan to take some time to read these blogs and learn from some Godly women who are a lot wiser than me.  There are so many posts that I tucked away for later and never got back to, or that I pinned on Pinterest and forgot about!!! I want to take time to scroll through them, take notes, and learn from them.  And then I want to come back and share with all of you what I have learned 😀

“Do you thus repay the Lord, you foolish and senseless people? Is not he your father, who created you, who made you and established you? Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you,
your elders, and they will tell you. When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.”Deuteronomy 32:6-8

“And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh Joshua said, “Remember the word that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, ‘The Lordyour God is providing you a place of rest and will give you this land.’  Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land that Moses gave you beyond the Jordan, but all the men of valor among you shall pass over armed before your brothers and shall help them,…” Joshua 1:12-14

We have fallen off of the neat, organized and decluttered track ridiculously since the holidays. I have had a schedule since the kids were little, and over the last couple of years we have slipped off a little bit more each year.  Well, this year we fell off almost completely, and I did not put us back on.  If this sounds like your family (please say that it does and I am not alone!!! :D) then we together are not much different from the children of Israel in Scripture.  They had to be reminded to remember God’s Word, to remember his laws, and to remember his promises over and over and over again because they often forgot… they fell of the track completely!  Where we feel the negative impact of failing to keep up in the areas of a; Our relationship with the Lord, b; our relationships within the walls of our homes, and c; our relationships with those God has put in our lives to be examples and guides to a God honoring lifestyle, they also felt the negative impacts of their failure to remember and their failure to pass on the teachings of their Godly ancestors with situations like losing in battle and being taken captive by pagan nations repeatedly.  If we do not make the primary goals of our lives loving God with all of our heart, soul and strength, teaching our children to love and honor the Lord who created them, and modeling holiness of heart, attitude and lifestyle to all we come in contact with, we will experience losses in battle, and we will watch our children be taken captive by pagan ideas and idolatry. Just like the children of Israel were reminded to REMEMBER God’s word, we must remind ourselves and our children to remember what we have taught them and the disciplines we have tried to pass on to them. But if we forget, if we don’t take time to remember, who will remind them? While our kids may obey our words during childhood, we will live to see them live as we lived in adulthood. I will not be getting organized just for organizations sake.  I will be getting organized for the sake of remembering and reminding all of us of the habits that will help lead them into a prosperous and profitable future, wherever the Lord leads them.

To this all I can say is Proverb 31:10-31!

I will still be updating the Joyfully Submitted Facebook Page, though not as frequently, so I will see you there.  There was a time not that long ago, when the thought of lower stats and fewer followers was an unwelcome thought, but what good is all of this if the Lord is not my #1 fan? I’m gonna go and spend some time with my daddy!! 😀 Soooooo…..

Our First Giveaway Final Post (last chance to enter)

Posted on Updated on

Today is the 5th and final post in our 7 Day Supply of Cloth Pantiliner GIVEAWAY!!! A LOT of information has been shared, and there is so much more out there, but our final post is dedicated to user testimonies and feedback, ending with my own 😀  The pantiliners below are made by me, and were completed and delivered to a customer on Friday evening.  She is a 50+ year old woman, who was extremely pleased to have learned about these products, and beyond extremely excited to purchase them for herself.  Here is what she had to say after wearing them for a couple of days;

“I LOVE them!!! They are soooo comfortable and feminine! I am talking them up like crazy and I can’t wait for the women in my family and my friends to begin using these!! Thank You for sharing this with me!!!”  ~Felecia (social worker)

Felecia is a woman who, prior to 2 weeks ago, had never even heard of cloth pads/pantiliners and now she is a very satisfied user:D The items pictured are her order and were taken before being delivered to her!

These are size L-XL (14+) and are made of a combination flannel/flannel and flannel/fleece.

Our second user testimony comes from a long-time user of cloth feminine products, if you consider one year a long-time. 😀

“I started using reusable menstrual pads about a year ago. I had been interested in trying them for about 12 years, but it was just something I put on the back burner. When I finally got them, I was hesitant to try them at first because of the “ick” factor, but pressed ahead because I had purposefully let my disposable pads run out the previous month so I had no choice! I LOVE THEM! I don’t feel like I am wearing a pad at all! Also, the reusable pads seem to be more absorbent. They are so easy to take care of as well.  I just toss them in the washing machine with whatever load I happen to be putting in and I’m done!”  ~ Zakiyyah (SAHM)

These pantiliners as well as the S-M ones fold for easy transport.

Now for the last product testimony…mine 😀

Let me just tell you that I am a very satisfied user of these products.  I received a message on Facebook from a friend who knew I loved to sew and was sewing/making things for the purpose of selling.  She sent me a link to a site and I was hooked almost immediately!! I began to research these products and the reasons so many hundreds of thousands of women use them. And before I knew it, I was making them and developing a customer base! I truly am my best customer :D. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pantiliners and wear them everyday.  They are incredibly comfortable and soft, and very absorbant.  They have proven to be reliable for daily use, including the occasional ‘Oops” when a sneeze or cough causes…you know the rest :P. They have also replaced the need for me to purchase disposable pantiliners ever again.  Paying for these once has benefits for years. Look at the first Giveaway post to see the cost comparisons. The reason I chose pantiliners for the giveaway is because I have found that they are the easiest for women to make the switch to. There’s very little apprehension or “GROSS!!!” comments when it comes to something used for daily protection. Once these are experienced, the next step in a majority of cases are to the cloth pads.  These are definite introductions to a knew experience in feminine care.

I had a customer recently ask me what I hoped to gain by making these and sharing information. I responded that I want to raise awareness, particularly in the African American Community where there is very little if anything known about alternatives to carcinogen laced feminine products.  This giveaway and the past weeks blog posts are just the beginning. As we learn to love the Lord with ALL our hearts, ALL our minds, and ALL our souls, and love our neighbor (yes, our husbands are our neighbors as well) as ourselves, I pray that we could learn to take information like what’s being shared and begin to apply it to our lives and make wise decisions.  We will be changing and making changes for the rest of our lives…and then in the end we will experience the ULTIMATE change…

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be ch anged. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:51-58

So what in the world do these verse have to do with menstrual pads??? EVERYTHING!!!!  All of the changes we experience in life are preparing us for something GREAT!!! We can never get complacent…we have to keep growing and moving and learning…One day we will be permanently changed!!! But until that glorious day we are charged by God to take care of His temple…and we are that temple!!! We have the responsibility to do the things that will care for this body and not to do the tings that will destroy it!! There are many things that are harmful that we do not know, but when we learn about them, and still do them, we will be held accountable. Now, I am not saying that using plastic pads and tampons and pantiliners will send any of us to Hell, but I am saying that because of the extremely dangerous chemicals involved, we may hasten our face to face meeting with the Lord by using them. And while that appeals to some, it is not the way any of us want to see Him. I implore you to make the HEALTHY choice..even if you choose to buy them from a well known manufacturer instead of me, just get them…and let other women know that we have choices!!! And they are good ones!!! I find myself telling women about these everywhere I go. I pray you will too ❤

You have one more chance to enter the drawing to receive a 7 Day Supply of Cloth Pantiliners FREE ($63 value), and one more chance to spread the word about the Giveaway.  Don’t waste it…take all of what you learned last week and make good use of it 😀 God Bless ALL of you!!! Click the link below…

STATISTICAL FACTS via Lunapads.com

Approximately 20 billion pads, tampons and applicators are sent to North American landfills annually.

On an individual level, each of the approximately 73 million menstruating people in North America will throw away 125 to 150kg or approximately 16,800 disposable pads or tampons in their lifetime.

Disposable pads and tampons are made primarily of bleached kraft pulp or viscose rayon, the origin of which is wood cellulose from trees. What makes these products perform so effectively is the use of high tech chemicals such as super-absorbent acrylic polymers (SAPs) surfactant-laced gels and leak-proof plastic backings. The long-term health and environmental impact of these ingredients is contentious and largely unknown.

In 1991, the Landbank Consultancy report reviewed the environmental impact of disposable diapers and concluded that compared to cloth diapers, throwaway diapers used 20 times more raw materials, three times more energy and twice as much water; overall they generated 60 times more waste . Disposable menstrual pads are made from substantially equivalent materials and ingredients as disposable diapers.

[Cloth Pads} will last well over 5 years with recommended use and care, as opposed to 3 or 4 hours in the case of disposable products. While individual use may vary, we estimate that a single Lunapad replaces 120 disposable pads or tampons.

The cost of reusable products is significantly less than disposables – you can save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars over time.

1,000,000 disposable pads and tampons are now being diverted from landfills monthly thanks to [Cloth Pad customers] having made the switch to reusable products, and tens of thousands worldwide are feeling more connected to themselves and at peace with their consumer choices.

Cost Savings Analysis

Reusable menstrual products present an opportunity for real financial savings, as demonstrated by the table below. We have chosen not to include two ancillary costs: utilities and detergent used to clean washable pads and the portion of property taxes used to finance garbage pickup of used disposable products and landfill maintenance.
